Dr. Laifeng Lu currently served for Tianjin University of Science & Technology as a Lecturer and Master's tutor since 2015.After receiving a BS in Food Science and Engineering, 2006/ 2010, Harbin Institute of Technology, He obtained his Ph.D degree in Food Science, 2010/ 2015, from Zhejiang University, China. Dr. Lu also received training in Bioinformatics from Zhejiang-California International NanoSystems Institute, 2011 and was a visiting scholar of Molecular Phytopathology & Mycotoxin Research, 2014/ 2015, Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany.
Laifeng Lu started his research work on postharvest physiology & pathology since 2009, and thus far has participated in more than 10 projects which research related to Postharvest Physiological disorders, Postharvest disease control, Postharvest chemical application, Postharvest fungicide safety, Fruit Respiration measurement and interpretation and so on. Dr. Lu is currently working on (1) Molecular mechanism of fruit ripening, senescence and disease resistance maintaining; (2) Components from microbes that affect or modulate fruit-microbe interactions; (3) Bioactive secondary metabolites of microorganisms (e.g. actinomycete) including Synthesis and Degradative pathways and their interactive model; (4) Ecological role of mycotoxins in plant/fungus interactions and mycotoxins biological control.Examples of projects under research: Regulatory mechanism of disease resistance by miRNAs and JAZs against postharvest grey mold in Lycopersicum esculentum (National Natural Science Foundation of China); Testing antimicrobial key technology of Streptomyces TD-1 to prevent and cure Crop Diseases (Natural Science Foundation of Tianjin), so on.
